The Oppo Reno 9 will be the first mid-range smartphone with 16GB of RAM.

Oppo will unveil three new smartphones for its new Reno 9 series next week, and we already know they will be very powerful. One of them will be the first in its category to have 16 GB of RAM.

A few weeks ago, we revealed a large portion of the technical specifications for the next Reno 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro +, which will be officially unveiled by Oppo at a conference on November 24. However, we had no idea how much RAM each device would require.

According to a Geekbench benchmark, this most powerful model  appears to be faster than most high-end smartphones. Indeed, in addition to a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, which preceded the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the device will come with 16 GB of RAM.

THE RENO 9 PRO + WILL BE GRANTED16 GB OF RAM.

The Oppo Reno 9 Pro+, with up to 16 GB of RAM, could compete with the most powerful Android smartphones in 2022. This would also be a first, as such a large amount of RAM has previously only been available to a few high-end smartphones. In terms of storage, the smartphone could offer no less than 512 GB, which is incredibly rare in this section.

In addition to being extremely powerful, the Reno 9 Pro+ should be visually appealing. It will rely on three rear cameras, including a 50 MP IMX890 main sensor. This is the successor to the extremely popular IMX766, which was found in smartphones such as the Nothing Phone (1), Oppo Find X5 Pro, Xiaomi 12, and Huawei Mate 50 Pro. In addition, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2 MP macro sensor will be included.

As a result, the smartphone promises to be very interesting. The battery will be a 4700 mAh accumulator compatible with 80 W fast charging, but we should not be able to charge wirelessly. Following its release in China, the Oppo Reno 9 Pro+ could make its way to France a few weeks later under the name Reno 9 Pro.
