Microsoft is committed to refunding all gamers disappointed with Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox. Like Sony, the American firm is taking exceptional measures after the fiasco of the console version of the game.
But unlike its rival, Microsoft will not remove the game from its online store. On the other hand, a warning warns potential buyers of the title.
CD Projekt Red admitted it: The PS4 and Xbox One version of Cyberpunk 2077 was not ready for launch. Under pressure, the Polish studio has pledged to update the console version as early as January. In the meantime, disappointed gamers can claim a full refund from Sony and Microsoft.
In the face of Cyberpunk’s PS4 fiasco, Sony has agreed to make an exception to its usual policy. The Japanese giant will reimburse all buyers who request it. Sony has also taken the drastic decision to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store.
Microsoft Warns Gamers: Cyberpunk 2077 Is Completely Bugged On Xbox Shortly after Sony, Microsoft spoke out about Cyberpunk 2077’s catastrophic launch on Xbox. “To ensure our players have the best possible Xbox experience, we will be expanding our existing refund policy to offer full refunds to people who purchased Cyberpunk 2077 from the Microsoft Store, until further notice,” Microsoft announced on Twitter.
The firm therefore agrees to provide a refund to all players who are not satisfied with their purchase. “To date, we have granted refunds to the vast majority of customers who have requested them,” said Microsoft. To request a refund, simply request it by going to this page.
“While we know that the developers of CD PROJEKT RED have worked hard to deliver Cyberpunk 2077 under extremely difficult circumstances, we also realize that some gamers are unhappy with the current experience on older consoles,” Microsoft says to justify her decision.
