Huawei Mate Xs: Released Date in 2020

The Huawei Mate Xs, the successor to the foldable Mate X, would hit the market in the course of March 2020. The smartphone would be equipped with an improved central hinge and a more robust foldable screen. In order to attract more consumers, Huawei has decided to lower the price of its flagship store. Discover the latest information available.

Huawei’s Mate Xs would hit the market in March 2020, report our Chinese colleagues from MyDrivers. The foldable smartphone will be presented at a conference at MWC 2020 in Barcelona in late February 2020. Not surprisingly, the Mate Xs would, therefore, be marketed (probably only in China) a few weeks after its official presentation.

The Huawei Mate Xs would be slightly cheaper than the Mate X

Citing sources close to the industry, the media claims that the Mate Xs is less difficult to produce than the first generation. The group also managed to drastically increase its production capacity. Under these conditions, Huawei should offer the Mate Xs at a price slightly lower than the Mate X. As a reminder, the Mate X is currently marketed on the Chinese market at a price of 16,999 yuan or 2400 dollars. Thanks to a new pricing positioning, the brand hopes to attract more buyers. Since its release in November in China, Huawei has already sold nearly 200,000 foldable smartphones.

According to information obtained by MyDrivers, Huawei has made many adjustments to the design and structure of the Mate XsThe firm has notably reworked the hinge which allows the screen to fold. The new version would, therefore, be more “resistant and stable”. In a recent interview, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s mobile division, had already teased the new hinge of the Mate Xs. This new mechanism is called ”  Falcon Wing Hinge Mechanism  “, revealed Richard Yu.

The same sound from the side of the foldable screen, which would now be more durable, points out MyDrivers. Finally, the foldable smartphone would also be more compact than its predecessor. According to the latest news, this new generation would be powered by the SoC Kirin 990 of the Mate 30s, would be compatible with 5G and equipped with a quadruple photo sensor on the back. We tell you more as soon as possible about the Mate Xs.
